Valderrama/Kramer Batman

Charles did the great initial sketch of this Batman and he asked if I would like to finish it up (inks and color)...so here's the final result. Again, I experimented with a different inking and color style than my norm.

awesome!! I wouldn't mind seeing more collabs between the two of you in the future!

btw, was this inked digitally or traditional?

Thanks! I'm really happy with how this one turned out. It was inked by hand with a good ol' Le Pen® and Sharpie® on color laser paper...colored in PS.

Cool...I wonder what Carlos, who drew the cool Batman you previously inked and colored thinks...Mr. Vega?

These little team-ups are cool, Rob. I think you're onto something. Now, my two cents: I like the coloring although I think it's a little on the flat side and I don't like the inking. Too rough for Charles's style of drawing, which are clean lines. But it does work on Carlos's Batman. Just my opinion. I still think you did a great job on these. Keep 'em comin'!

Thanks, Jess'. I'm always open to hear anyone's "two cents". My main reasons for doing the inks and colors on these 2 Batmen were to experiment and to give myself a mental and artistic break from my usual m.o. Which was something that I really enjoyed.

very nice collab! I like the experimenting with a different style for the finish...hey, it's all about experimenting and seeing what sticks...however, the idea of collaberations is a good idea.
